UPDATE 2/3/12 – Forever Leak

So yesterday I was doing my daily search on Twitter for "Brooke Valentine" (you know I'm crazy, but that's how I find things!) and what do you know, I saw a tweet with a link to a website and there it was. "Forever." Brooke's new single and title track off of her album coming this Valentine's Day. Now of course I listened to it because I just couldn't resist. So unfortunately it did leak a bit early. It would've been nice to experience the whole thing on Valentine's Day itself, but after hearing it I am just speechless :) It's so amazing, so powerful, and so inspirational! It truly is special! I can't wait for the album and the video.

Also rumor of the day is that Brooke will be premiering the new video for "Forever" on BET's 106 & Park on Valentine's Day as well (Tuesday, February 14th, 2012). It hasn't been officially confirmed but I think there's a good chance that it is the truth! So be sure to buy the album online very soon and tune in to possibly see our girl at a very important time in history. I already have my Tivo set to record 106 & Park that day in HD, so fingers crossed ;) LOL!

Now I'm not going to actually post the song here, because I want to wait until Valentine's Day. Make sure to follow Brooke at her official Twitter page @4everBrooke to get the latest. And of course make sure to check back here soon for the latest updates!

Also there was some very intriguing personal information about Brooke that is most likely true. Very touching! I'll have to wait on that one before I post about it, and maybe we'll hear it in her own words. Who knows. It really shows how strong she is, that's all I'm going to say.

Brooke Valentine is Back!

Some really great news and events have come up during the past few days. I would like to announce that Brooke is releasing her sophomore album, "Forever" as a digital exclusive this Valentine's Day! You heard me right! On top of that, on Friday, January 27th Brooke got together with a big crew of familiar faces and talented people to make the video for her single off of the new album. Thanks to Twitter you could tell that this song is very big and very special. Being the title track for the album, the "Forever" music video should be released very soon. Possibly on Valentine's Day with the album, but we'll see.

“Insanity” – The Music Video

Brooke recently released the first video off of her upcoming album, "Forever," for the song, "Insanity." The first thing I thought of when I heard it was Chain Letter, and that's not a bad thing at all. It reminds me of the type of music Brooke was making in 2004/2005 and even the lyrics as well. It has a great message that I think a lot of people can relate to, which is why it reminds me of Chain Letter because of the great selection of songs that were relatable to people back in '05. She also had a genre that I couldn't really describe. Chain Letter was a mix of a whole lot of genres, so we know Brooke is always looking to try different things and is comfortable mixing things up. As for "Insanity" its a nice edgy Rock/Pop/R&B blend. I really like the song and I can't wait to hear what else Brooke has been cooking up because now I'm just anxious for her new album.

 

Meanwhile if you've seen the Insanity video let me just tell you that it was recorded on an iPhone 4S! Pretty cool, huh! Directed by none other than the best, Deja The Great. I think they did a great job, especially considering they used an iPhone for the video! If I was recording a music video with an iPhone I can almost guarantee you I would've tripped at some point and cracked the phone, but that is besides the point ;). Hello Ladies & Gents. I wonder if anyone is keeping track of how many different themes I've had for this website! LOL! But I'm really feeling this one. This is it for a long time. I love everything about it. Sure I'll be doing tweaks every now and then, but I can't wait to build BVD up from this layout and fill it with even more news, media, and content.
